Singapore Industrial Market Saw Declines Last 2015

Prices of Singapore industrial space slumped in the last quarter of 2015, falling by 1.0% to 2.2% in quarterly basis for single-user factory space as well as multiple-user factory space.

Prices of overall industrial space in Singapore declined by 1.7 percent to 1.8 percent last year, meanwhile rent for industrial space also dropped by 1.1 percent to 1.5 percent in Q4 2015.

For market experts, Singapore industrial market is likely to face significant headwinds this year, however, with the upcoming projects like Proxima @ Gambas in Woodland, Singapore’s industrial market will continued rise and maintain industrial rental growth in the long run.

5 New City Direct Services Rolled out From Later This Month

Singapore commuters will have direct access to the Central Business District (CBD) when 5 new bus services are began rolling out later this month.

Direct bus services will serve commuters during weekday morning and evening peak travel periods, except for public holidays. Out of the 5 services, Aedge Services Pte Ltd will operate 3, including CDS 664,  662 and 661.

The other 2 bus services which are CDS 663 and 665, will be operate by Bus Hub Service Pte Ltd. The 665 bus direct bus service will serve the residents of Marsiling and Woodlands from Oct 12, and from Sept 28, Service 663 will serve residents at the area of Yishun, including commuters from Proxima @ Gambas Industrial.

50:50 Joint Venture for Revamped Sun Plaza

Two Singapore-based companies Koh Brothers Group and Heeton Holdings has announced the revamp of Sun Plaza last 17 Aug, following the asset enhancement drive worth S$33-million which started in November 2013.

The Koh Brothers Group and Heeton Holdings partnership is a 50:50 joint venture. Sun Plaza is a 6-storey shopping Malls in Sembawang located close to Proxima @ Gambas Industrial, offering an approximately 158,000 sq ft net lettable area after the additional 5,772 sq ft from the trimmings and alterations works.

The enhancement of Sun Plaza includes the conversion of the basement one into a street of food and the construction of level 4 and 5 for the new training hub which presently houses different educational offerings.

According to the report, Sun Plaza has reached a nearly full occupancy ahead to the revamped. Anchor tenants include National Library Board, Kopitiam and NTUC Fairprice.
